The world of Anand Bekwad
Anand Bekwad (born 1974) is a contemporary Indian artist based in Pune, widely recognized for his vibrant, abstract-inspired landscapes and his extensive series on Varanasi. Born in Belgaum, Karnataka, he earned a Diploma in Drawing and Painting (A.M.G.D.) from the Govt. Uma Fine Art Institute in Belgaum. He began his professional journey in 1996 and initially worked in watercolors, focusing on nature and landscapes. He has since expanded into acrylics on canvas, developing a distinct style that uses bold, rhythmic lines and "splashes" of color to capture the spiritual energy of sacred places.
